Embracing Your Soul

If you’ve read any of our strategies on how to play in the digital sandbox, you might be as overwhelmed as we are sometimes. It can be quite the thing, continually trying to optimize for a fickle algorithm and robot overlord.

So it’s always good to get back to first principals, and first principals in this case revolve around one dangerously overlooked word:

JOY.

There, we said it. Buried in the Operating Instructions or lost in the fine print is this word, which is often why we started to create content and tell stories in the first place.

Because we loved it.

If we let the rules about when to post lead us astray, or worry about keywords that result in overstuffed boring copy, or choose colors based on committee rather than heart, then we’ve lost the mission.

If you start to feel overwhelmed rather than inspired, then things must change.

The story (and our soul behind it) must lead the way.
