SLOW IS SMOOTH, SMOOTH IS FAST
Anne Lamott has a famous story. As a young girl, she was working on a report about birds for school, and she became exasperated at just how many birds there were that she had to write about.
“How am I going to do it” she asked her Mom. To which her Mom replied:
“Bird by bird, Anne. Bird by bird.”
This became the title of one of Anne’s many books, and she went on to became a famous writer.
When making anything, big or small, audacious or modest, all we can do is what we can do. So take the pressure off, move slow, remembering that slow is smooth. And smooth is fast.
