Street Smart

Street smart is a series we’re creating that explores the topic of homelessness in the united states and shows the way in which people are grouping together to provide real solutions.

Our first episode is about an organization in Seattle “Hope Factory” led by Barb Oliver who has taken the challenge upon herself to organize volunteers and build tiny homes for those in need. These homes are placed inside communities such as “Camp Second Chance” as temporary living units for individuals who are given the tools and resources to find work and transition into a new home.

We created the mini-doc and associated interviews above as a proof of concept, and are currently searching for funding for the full twenty to thirty-minute episode. If you or someone you know would like to help support our mission to help hundreds of thousands of people living in America without a home, please reach out.
