The Two Word Marketing Plan

The best marketing plan in the world that I’ve found might be boiled down to two words.

Care More.

One of the books we’ve been passing around lately is ‘Unreasonable Hospitality’ - as seen in Season Two of the ‘The Bear’. The book’s premise is simple, it’s execution difficult: provide an exceptional experience to every customer out there. The book outlines some great ways to do that, and shares some great stories from the restaurant trenches that are transferrable to anything having to do with marketing. And content creation. And connecting with people.

With the advent of lots of interesting market forces out there right now (Hello, AI), the one thing that can protect us aside from our creativity is our ability to be generous. To give more. To become ‘the brand that cares’.

If we mean it, if we really do want to make people’s lives a little better, this can move from the transactional to the relational. That’s a great place to be.
